My dad and stepmom gave me a sewing machine for Christmas and my mother in law has been trying to teach me how to sew when she comes to visit. Above is the very first thing I made all by myself! I did try making a taggie blanket without my mother in laws help and it just did not turn out very well. When I become more advanced I will post some other pictures of things I have made.

Love, love, love it! What kind of machine did you get?? You should definitely check out Bend-the-rules-sewing from the library... its a GREAT sewing book for beginners!! Email me sometime and let me know how you guys are! We're going to be in NC Feb.1st through the 10th... but only in Fuquay from the 5th through the 10th.
I'm so excited about your sewing.... but be forewarned... its addictive! :)
